Bug Description
Binary package hint: e2fsprogs
Related to bug #198125, I'm unable to recover an ext3 partition, e2fsck seems like to be in an infinite loop:

Thanks for your bug submission. fsck may not be able to recover all file system errors. Not sure what happened in your case (USB external 500 GB drive gets messed up during suspend without umount/sync in Hardy). Although this may be repeatable behavior, I'm sure you are not in the mood to test for it.

Once again, sorry for your loss. Alpha software comes with risk. "This is the life we chose to live."
