Info at bottom of window gets cut off when window is maximized

Bug Description

I set up a new default template so the window would fill the screen and my page would be bigger. When I Launch Inkscape the window does come up bit but it is shifted down so the bottom info bar is cut off. When I click on the maximize button in the top right corner the window shifts up so I can now see the info bar at the bottom. When I originally set up the template I could see everything but it doesn't act that way when I open a new document. Operating system is Windows Vista.

Hi Steven,

It would be helpful if you could attach a screenshot or two, as well as the svg file you are using for your default template, as well as info on your screen resolution...

Just a thought: was the window maximized when you saved it as a template? Or had you manually positioned it? If the former, perhaps the 'true' window size of the original was actually larger than it appeared

Thanks!

(for the record, I can't reproduce this under Linux in latest SVN. No matter how big I make my template, it always opens just filling the available screen size with all parts of the window visible)

Yes the screen was maximized when I made the default template. My screen res is 1280 x 1024 with Highest (32bit) colors. Attached is the default template file I made.

BTW how can I attach more than one file? It doesn't look like I can.

Thanks--this should be helpful.

To attach additional files, you have to make additional comments (you
can leave the comment field empty, though)

This was with a now unsupported version of Inkscape. A newer version (0.46) is available. Given that as well as the lack of follow-up on this issue, this bug will be closed. If you continue to have the same problem with the newer version, please feel free to reopen the bug report.
