Bug Description

In impish firefox was changed from being a standard .deb based application to being installed via snap.

In the snap version of firefox, the GNOME Shell integration extension could no longer connect to the host connector.

When browsing to https://extensions.gnome.org and installing the extension to firefox, the following error message is displayed in a red box on the page:

---8<---
Although GNOME Shell integration extension is running, native host connector is not detected. Refer documentation for instructions about installing connector.
--->8---

The same happens in chromium btw..

I installed the old version of firefox with apt and there the error message is not shown.
Most of my extensions don't work or could not be enabled, but that's another story and I'm going to file another bug for this.
