I encountered a similar error when installing CUDA Toolkit 11.0 (which includes the Nvidia driver with version number 450.51). This seems to be caused by a change function (https:/ /github. com/torvalds/ linux/commit/ 88dca4ca5a93d2c 09e5bbc6a62fbfc 3af83c4fca) in Linux.
After a few days, I found the guide https:/ /gitlab. com/-/snippets/ 1986228 and successfully installed the driver. I hope it will help you to solve this problem.
