Colors are only used for select elements of snap install output, e.g. for successful installation it's just the green ✓ (checkmark) character for verified publisher (e.g. "hello-world 6.4 from Canonical✓ installed"). In some *specific* error cases part of the message may be in bold. This depends on terminal capabilities of course.

Can you clarify if that explains it?

Omitted to mention: tested with gnome-terminal in Wayland environment.

Could the reason be that no color is applied in any case illustrated by the following predicates?

That terminal
- decides to obey whether it applies that feature
- lacks of support in this regard.
