Bug Description

I've noticed that every once in awhile when I use the UI to commission or test a machine no scripts are automatically selected. I'm not sure how to reproduce this but it seems to happen when I leave Firefox open to the MAAS UI for awhile. I'm not restarting the backend, my browser, or losing connectivity. During a screenshare with a customer I saw the same bug with Safari.

The scripts are still available and I can select them manually. So it seems the websocket is working the defaults just aren't set.

The backend is designed to handle no script selection for the API. So when this bug does occur all default commissioning and testing scripts are still run.

Hi Lee, do you happen to remember which version(s) of MAAS you've seen this on?

Thanks Lee. We've made a heap of changes to that form this cycle, some of which have been backported to 2.9.

I haven't been able to reproduce this, not sure if that's because it's been fixed or just haven't found the right combination of things for it to show up.

I think we might just have to keep an eye on this to see if it's still a problem. Definitely reply here if you see it again (the exact maas/maas-ui version would also help to see if it was before our fixes).
