snap store on ubuntu 20.04 doesn't always display categories

Bug Description

sometimes the store does not display any categories at all, see attached screenshot. this is an inconsistent bug - the store was working fine on my desktop machine a day ago and broke today. it still works fine on another machine.

further information: this morning, i booted up the machine exhibiting the problem and it's fine. i really have no clue how to find and report useful information on this.

This happens when the store (web side) doesn't return a list of channels.

Probably the best we could do is cleanup the layout a bit of there are no categories by removing some empty space.

New install of Ubuntu 20.04.1
Gnome vers. 3.36.3

Categories in Ubuntu Store (Snap store) not showing.
I have tried "snap refresh" and reinstalled Snapd. Nothing works.
