Bug Description

Installing Kubuntu 19.10 Beta. I believe this also happened with Kubuntu 19.04, though I don't recall clearly. The computer is a Lenovo Thinkpad X250.

I didn't get around to testing the daily build, but I just reinstalled the final release, and didn't notice a crash this time.

Another install attempt today, resulting in the symptoms of bug 1040629.

Also, why is this bug still marked "incomplete"?
