Bug Description
In Bionic, KDE connect is a dependency of Okular. This is definitely a bug, since it is not really necessary. It's kind of annoying since KDE connect doesn't really work well under Ubuntu's default DE, so having it there without necessity is not good, there's already a good bunch of necessary KDE dependencies that Okular pulls.
Okular does not 'depend' on kdeconnect. It depends on the KDEPurpose packages, as they are required for the File > Share options. This is build time hard dependency.
KDEPurpose packages 'recommend' kdeconnect to share to other device via that menu. As I recommends, you can choose to not install that or remove it and only break that menu option.
