os-prober hangs with LVM and cryptsetup

Bug Description

Release: ubuntu 18.04
Package: os-prober 1.74

The bug reported in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/os-prober/+bug/1663645 is still present in some cases and has been reported upstream as well: os-prober hangs when using LVM and cryptsetup.

A fix has been released upstream: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=853927

Could you please consider upgrading the ubuntu os-prober packages to 1.75 or even 1.76?

I think https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/os-prober/+bug/1770173 might be related as well.
The installation hangs at the exact same point: 66% while running the "dmsetup create -r osprober-linux-something" command.

This also happens during installs of 18.04 and it causes the installation to hang at Installing grub 66%

A workaround which works for me is to switch to a console (alt-f2) and killall dmsetup, then the install completes successfully, but totally unattended installs are broken for me now.
