Bug Description
gnome shell is consuming most of my laptop's memory, i.e. ~700 MB / 3.8 GB.
Currently using Ubuntu 17.10 >> Artful Aardvark.
RAM consumption is pretty high even if you compare it to Chrome, having 5 tabs open and running simultaneously.
Please solve this for laptops running on low memory. (4 GB)
