Gnome-shell segfault and returns to login screen

Bug Description
Since my upgrade to ubuntu 17.10 (and therefore usage of gnome-shell instead of unity), I have regular crashes of gnome-shell where I return to the login screen. I don't have a reproduction scenario, it appears to happen at random times, sometimes multiple times a day when some other days everything is fine.
Everytime, I have this line in my kern.log :
Dec 13 15:48:23 plw-fr-troche kernel: [22168.253619] gnome-shell[16768]: segfault at 7fdafa227114 ip 00007fdbb5943bb1 sp 00007ffdc85c7d80 error 7 in libst-1.
The segfault always refers to libst.
I work as a developer and tend to use some applications that take quite a lot of memory.
