Feb 27 iso build of zesty, u8 clean exploration

how to repero:
1) find LibreOffice calc in the app drawer
2) click to launch

Not a very interesting journal

Failure to open display is a general problem with native X apps on Unity8. It just means we don't have an X server running (or accessible) so the app can't start. That will be the same fix for all apps, so make it bug 1668429.
