Bug Description

Cannot install grub on /dev/sda. This is a critical error, Continue without installing grub? You will need to install manually. Okay, ... Critical error can not continue....report error?

Sorry, details a little jumbled as I am reporting from memory. Logs should tell much more and better. This is the third disk I have made from the ISO download. All are flawed and fail to boot, or install, but at different points. I have tried with three different drives. This is the second download of the ISO. Very large difference in the size from September to October.

One more point. The original issue was the Upgrade/Distribution Upgrade, which failed seemingly due to missing Perl packages. This completely ruined the original installation I have not been able to recover the machine. Personal data is backed up, so that is not an issue. Seems there are real problems with this upgrade. I have two more machines I would like to upgrade, but I am not touching them until I get this one right.
