session freezes when resizing a window

Bug Description
I'm in a desktop ubuntu 16.10. When I use the unity 8 preview and I resize a window the system freezes. It happens when resizing various applications, for example ubuntu gallery and the ubuntu browser. I expect that the system simply resize the window, but the system freezes. I'm in desktop mode
