File search while loading makes Files hang

Bug Description
Files 0.2.4 doesn't seem to be able to handle gracefully a directory with many files. First, it seems to take awhile to list all files. It hangs if one attempts to search a file while the entire list of files if being read. If the search is done once all files are listed, the app doesn't hang, but no results are shown. Since with a directory with 50k files. Haven't verified with more or less files.

The bug description contains two separate issues - searching while the files are being read into the view and searching an extremely large folder after it has finished loading.
This should be split into two separate bug reports as they probably have different causes. I have renamed this report to reflect the first of the two issues reported.
