Gimp draws circles under cursor

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gimp

When selecting a paintbrush tool and simply moving it across the image window, Gimp draws a trace of circles after the cursor. Circles fade away under other windows, that come to foreground.

Ubuntu 7.10, GIMP 2.4.0-rc3
