Bug Description
With Inkscape switching to new GTK, the Ctrl+Shift+D shortcut has been associated with the Gtk inspector window.
Therefore, to resize a document to its contents, one has to click
1. File (menu)
2. Document properties (menu item)
3. Resize page to content... (dropdown)
4. Resize page to drawing or selection (button)
5. Close window
I use this function very often, so when editing multiple files, this repeated operation takes quite a lot of time. Could we make a keyboard shortcut for this function? I suggest that when nothing is selected, the page would resize to the whole drawing; otherwise to the current selection.

Hi,
This has been worked on during the 2016 hackfest : In trunk there is a button in Edit->Resize page to selection (or drawing if nothing is selected) with a keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+ R(esize) .
Actually, in .91 you already can make a kb shortcut for this : in the keyboard shortcut editor (prefs- >interface- >shortcuts) you can put any shortcut to the FitCanvasToSele ctionOrDrawing verb
