Bug Description

Hello

I have migrated to 16.04 and now when I am trying to connect to wifi networks through network manager tit is showing waiting for authorization and then it saus connection deactivated and then no secrets provided

In the log I have the following kwalletd5: ../../../../src/runtime/kwalletd/kwalletd.cpp:590: int KWalletD::internalOpen(const QString&, const QString&, bool, WId, bool, const QString&): Assertion `b->cipherType() != KWallet::BACKEND_CIPHER_UNKNOWN' failed.

More over as a complimentary information when launching wallet manager from the user management it says the wallet is closed and I can not open it...

Thanks in advance

affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) → kwallet (Ubuntu)

@seb128: If you don't have any critical information inside of the wallet, then just delete the wallet and it will be recreated automatically on-demand. This would make apps which rely on it work again.

The issue won't be fixed soon, I guarantee that. I am on kubuntu staging ppa (plasma 5.6.3) and the issue persists there. It would take monthes to fix the issue in the upstream and backport in to kubuntu in the best case.

If you need the content of the wallet, maybe you'll be able to do that with copying the wallet to the machine with the older release, exporting the data there and importing it back on you machine, but I didn't try that.
