unity launcher items stay as "installing" on errors

Accepted unity into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/7.4.0+16.04.20160526.1-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

This issue is resolved with package from proposed.

However when I deny the polkit auth prompt and thus cancel installation I see a notification saying:

"Installed program..."

That's of course bug in Ubuntu Software not Unity.

the gnome-software issue is reported as bug #1568935
