Bug Description

The maas-spaces2 feature branch fails to bootstrap on maas 1.9 in CI with:

ERROR cmd supercommand.go:448 failed to bootstrap model: cannot start bootstrap instance: gomaasapi: got error back from server: 400 BAD REQUEST (Unrecognised signature: method=GET op=list)

We merged latest master changes into maas-spaces2 this morning:

    Merge master e13ffd1c into maas-spaces2

    The commit was blessed: http://reports.vapour.ws/releases/3655

I'm inclined to wait for the next CI run to see if this was either a) transient or b) fixed by the merge.

Just confirming the root cause from IRC:

<dimitern> voidspace, bootstrap error is due to spaces discovery indeed: "GET /MAAS/api/1.0/spaces/?op=list HTTP/1.1" 400 276 "-" "Go-http-client/1.1"

Should be 'read', not 'list'.

Since this will affect master once maas-spaces2 gets merged into it, I'll backport the fix to master.

I'm confused why we're backporting as it's a) not a problem in master and b) we'll carry the fix through when we merge maas-spaces2 into master.

It wasn't strictly necessary, but since I started working on a fix for bug 1549545 for master, I needed up-to-date gomaaasapi in master to be able to test.
