Input is not focused automatically

I'm going to mark this as fixed. It seems to be working again since we moved more things to gtk

I am still seeing this issue manifesting.

Scratch that, I must've had an old branch installed. It works now.

Sorry for the many messages, but I just saw it again, after a reinstall. I just pressed ctrl-L to lock it and then I pressed enter to wake it up: the field was unfocused.

To test again, I focused the gear icon that comes with the DE switcher, I left the screen to lock, when I woke it up again by pressing enter: the field was unfocused.

Is unfocused password field on os launch applies to this bug?

Can confirm that I also have no focused password field when I boot up on Loki.

Same here, just downloaded the ISO two days ago and am experiencing this on a yoga 11e 20D9.

Same here with elementaryos-0.4-beta-amd64.20160613 iso.

This issue has been fixed for when the computer is first turned on, but if pantheon-greeter is summoned via Super+L, the input is still not focused.

I am on Loki RC1 with all updates and still suffer from the issue. The initial ISO was from the beta1 but all updates have been applied.

After the computer has been first turned on there is no input focus nor you can use Tab to workaround this. You always need to use the mouse and then type the password.

The version I have is:
pantheon-greeter 3.0+r476+pkg46~daily~u amd64 Pantheon Login Screen

Should I try the beta2 ISO (would that make any sense)?

I have just changed the latest Loki Beta2 ISO and after updating and rebooting the password input is still not focused.

There is no need to further confirm this issue. It has already been confirmed to exist and will be fixed.

The merged code was not the optimal fix but it will have to do for now that Loki is imminent.

The solution is inconsistent. While sometimes it does work, other times it doesn't.

Exactly. Most of the time (90%) it works properly. But then suddenly the input is not focused. I mostly use it after waking from Sleep or after locking the desktop.

I can also confirm this issue still happens.
Why is this bug marked as "Fix released"?
Does it mean it's not gonna get fixed?

It means there was a fix submitted, but it did not fix the problem entirely. There is still a race condition going on.

Should we open a new ticket for this? The issue is still there and nobody seems to be paying any attention to it. Maybe a new ticket would help.
