Bug Description

International synopsis: the ETA indicator flashes <1 min when it is obviously impossible. This is not systematic. Concerns RC4 on debian lenny 2007/10/10.

l'indicateur de temps restant déconne complètement. Et c'est resté assez longtemps à l'écran pour que
je trouve la touche printscreen :-) (disponible sur demande). Concerne RC4 debian lenny en français.
les torrents 1 et 4 affichent moins d'une minutes, alors qu'il s'agit de
torrents de 700 et 350 mgs respectivement, à 7 et 4 % idem, et qu'ils
descendent lentement à 25 et 15 k/s.

Sans avoir vu le code, et donc sans idée préconçue :-), je dirais que la
variable temps restant est remise à zéro et affichée avant que la valeur
n'ait été recalculée. Mais cette explication ne vaut pas grand chose car
si c'était le cas, ce serait systématique. A moins qu'elle n'ait le
temps d'être affichée que quand le programme est trop occupé par
ailleurs... shot in the dark, comme d'habitude.

I will work on this soon. I think this may be caused by an overflow. I already had a problem with the ETA some time ago and my patch was a bit dirty. It looks like I will have to find a cleaner solution to the problem :) Thank you for the report.

Just a question. Did the torrent for which it happened have filtered files? I have just fixed an ETA calculation problem when the torrent had filtered files. This is probably another bug, but we never know :)

where do I download it ? and most of all, the problem is not constant, it
just happens, sometimes...

Still looking for what's causing this. I have absolutely no idea right now. Code looks good now, I don't think this is caused by an overflow. If you notice something that could help me (anything), please tell me.

Hey i found it :)

The problem came from my userFriendlyDuration() function, not the ETA calculation itself this time.

Fixed in r1531.
