Gyroscope, compass and others should be exposed, as other sensors (GPS, camera) in /sys and /dev.

That's sad.

Someone told me in FreeNode#ubunut-touch that it is not specific to Mako/Nexus 4 (if I remember well, he check on a Aquaris 4.5)

I'm using an MX4 (OTA8) and the gyroscope and compass don't appear to be available. At least judging by the SensorsStatus app. I don't know what to look for in /dev and /sys, but while /dev/gps is obviously available I don't see anything that looks like a compass or a gyroscope.
