I originally installed the default Ubuntu 15.10. Then installed Xubuntu desktop. While in the Xubuntu desktop I installed Kubuntu-desktop. I got this error during the installation. Hope that's helpful.

As bugs, you MUST choose "sddm" as your default Display Manager when you install KDE with "force-overwrite".

If NOT, you will find sddm runs with the other display manager you chose as "lightdm" at the same time.

It cause your lost all graphics and control with your PC after ONE second you see the Login screen.

If it happens, don't worry. First you can reboot your PC with System Request:
    Hold on Alt + SysRq key (or PrintScreen key), then press these keys one by one: R, E, I, S, U, B. When you press B with hold Alt + SysRq, your system will reboot.

Then, when you see the Login screen, you must press Ctrl + Alt + F1 immediately. And you enter the console. Login and exec the command:
    $ sudo dpkg-reconfigure sddm
Then choose sddm as your default display manager, and reboot.
    $ sudo reboot

And your desktop will work normally.
