Bug Description
I understand that Evolution is installed by default as it has the ability to integrate with the GNOME Shell Clock, however, in terms of mail, it is a very basic tool, so it would be much better if along side Evolution, Thunderbird was also installed and set as the default application to handle mail, while allowing the more basic Evolution to do its bit too. I am on Ubuntu GNOME 15.04, with GNOME Shell, and GNOME 3.16.

Hi Thanks for the bug report!
We will not ship 2 email clients installed by default, which really leaves the question at would we replace evolution with thunderbird. I think probably not due to the lack of integration (no notifications, no gnome-online- account support etc), but I guess if there was overwhelming community support for the idea it could be considered.
