Openshot distorts colors from iphone video files

I've tried your file on a manjaro installed by pacman and no problem. Tested with the preview and on the timeline with the player.

FFmpeg is an external dependencie.

I'm using latest ffmpeg from ppa:kirillshkrogalev/ffmpeg-next
(I've installed it along with OBS)

My video driver is Nvidia 355. Monitor full-HD 60Hz. DE - Xfce 4.12, compositing on.

Did you open video in VLC? Look at the scrennshot, the difference is not so big, but exists (openshot on the left, vlc on the right)

I've played the video with ffplay (from winff) - the same behavior

NO not before but now yes. And frankly, I see no difference and even in openshot I got none problem.

ffplay from winff ?
Just type in a console
melt Sample.mov
and
ffplay Sample.mov
and put here the result and tell us what do you have.

Ah ah I understand (at least for me there are two months ago). I was using this ppa for getting the last version of ffmpeg and I have had a lot of problems and not only with openshot with a lot of softwares using it (ffmpeg). IMpossible to do something (imagination, ffdiaporama, ff multi converter.........
I have resolved this issue using the ppa that you 'll find in the faq 1040 update of the 30 june.
You should do that to my mind.

I have already had this PPA for a lnog time (mc3man/trusty-media because it contains latest VLC) along with ppa:kirillshkrogalev/ffmpeg-next. I've just installed ffmpeg (it wan't installed before)

Frankly, I don't see where is your problem and I can't give you a solution to resolve it.

But can you reproduce the bug? Do you see difference on the screenshot? (use gcolor2 e. g.)
