Bug Description

Backup not working . Keeps asking for the password for encryption . I just keep getting password requests have only ever had 1 password for Ubuntu so it cannot be me putting the wrong password. I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I see there is a bug report,
any solution yet?

If this is still happening, try finding out which GPG error triggers this issue, as indicated in bug report 1540174

I had same problem when trying to backup to an external disc. I found that if I deleted all previous backups from the disc I could
start a fresh backup without problems.

Yeah deleting all previous backups and starting over (or equivalently changing the backup location) has been reported to work by the comments on e.g. bug 1159177 or bug 989750.

I take it that the subsequent incremental backups were successful too?

I'm marking this bug as incomplete unless you can provide the GPG error that's causing it (see bug 1540174 for instructions), which hopefully for you won't happen since it would mean the issue is happening again.
