xtrabackup never verifies return code of ds_close

Bug Description
Xtrabackup and other tools don't verify return code of ds_close, it can lead to corrupted backup. ds_close can write buffer to destination file (or to output stream). In case of streaming it also writes EOF chunk. If some error occurs it might be ignored silently.
