Bug Description

Binary package hint: compizconfig-settings-manager

There's a typo in the german translation of the Advanced Desktop Effects Settings tool.

In the Expo plugin in the "Verhalten"-tab (probably "Behaviour" in english) there's an item that says "Anischt kippen" but should read "Ansicht kippen".

Unfortunately Translations is are not active for this tool in launchpad, so I had to file a bug.

Thanks for your bug report.

Is this problem still present? I've searched in compizconfig-settings-manager's translations but couldn't find any string like that... Perhaps it's in a different package?

Oh, I'm sorry. I just realized that the translation for the plugin texts are packaged together with the plugins instead of the ccsm. So this bug should be there. I'll check if it's still around in hardy and file it there, if necessary.

So is this still an issue in Hardy?

Seems a while since this has been updated. Is this still an issue in Lucid or not?

Hmm...well, because the strings that compizconfig-settings-manager displays come from the plugin metadata that ships with the plugins, the bug is in the package that ships the Expo plugin - compiz-fusion-plugins-main.

The string "Ansicht kippen" appears in the translation files for compiz-fusion-plugins-main as a translation for "Tilt View", but that string stopped being used by the plugin in version 0.7.4, so the translation has been marked as fuzzy.

In the future, Compiz collects translations upstream at http://l10n.compiz.org/pootle/, so corrections can be submitted there.

Is this bug still valid? I haven't found the text Anischt in the translations, so maybe this should be marked as Invalid.

On my natty as well as on my oneiric system the expo plugin isn't translated into German at all and I can't find an option called "Tilt View" in the "Behaviour" tab. So I think we could mark this bug as invalid.
