View contents does not work in "history mode"

Bug Description
when in history mode selecting "View file contents" for a file in an older version does not do anything.

The function is not implemented yet. I've started working on it, but stopped because of several reasons. I'll try to revive my old code and see what I could do... Thanks anyway for the report!
