In my case it depends on the way how I'm connected to the web. Using mobile web it's more accurate. Seems depending on the base station. In this case the position is only 10km wrong and informations from another town are shown.

Using my wireless local area network it may vary extremely up to 300 km from my current position. Not very usefull. ;)

GPS should be used to get the correct position, too.

Actually I'm near Düsseldorf but the scope shows Kassel.

GPS has no function in Aquaris E4.5, "GPS only"-mode is not working with any of the map apps (including nokias here). Often location based on wlan is working. But it happens that the nearby scope is locating me near Kassel/ Germany. I live also in a town in north rhine westfalia, like march above. The "here app" tells me in such cases location was not found.

Checked now in several European countries. It happens that the near by scope locates me even in the wrong country. GPS is even after recent update without function. I would say in about 95% of all cases the phone gives a wrong loaction. Very ofthen the deviation is >300 km.

I noticed that if Location detection is enabled without specifically enabling the GPS support, the actual location is very inaccurate (somewhere around the city center, I am in Vilnius). With GPS switched on, the location gets much more accurate, with only ~50 m shift (always to the same direction).

This issues seems to remain. The location displayed in the nearby scope is inaccurate and seems to change based on how the device is connected to the network.

As a sidenote: the clock app always seems to have an accurate location.

I have the same experience as the observation in the due at bug #1512494, using a map app will lock in a better location for the scopes to use.
