Bug Description
Binary package hint: sbackup
For those who use an external hard drive for backups, it would be great if sbackup would split the archive files so they are less than the maximum size of the filesystem. For example, if the drive is formatted as FAT32, split the tar files into 4GB chunks automatically.

HI,
There was a blueprints in NSsbackup for this . This functionality requires quite a work . It could be done with an acceptable difficulty if we didn't care about retro-compatibi lity. see the blueprint here : /blueprints. edge.launchpad. net/nssbackup/ +spec/snapshot- split
