Bug Description

Searching the term `dis` in order to find the displays settings icon in the unity dashboard doesn't return a result reliably. Besides the fact that the search is very slow for applications (regarding the fact the search algorithm mustn't do anything else than searching a path iterator of a prefix tree with 1M items in the worst case 1M applications are in `PATH`) it is often necessary to close the dashboard and reopen it after the search terminated without a result. At a second, third or even fourth reopening of the dashboard and start of the search the icon is usually found.
