trusty cloud images show warning on update-grub (GRUB_TIMEOUT)

$ sudo update-grub

Warning: Setting GRUB_TIMEOUT to a non-zero value when GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT is set is no longer supported.

I'm actually not sure where this setting came from. I originally thought vmbuilder-
$ dpkg-query --show | grep grub
grub-common 2.02~beta2-8
grub-ieee1275 2.02~beta2-8
grub-ieee1275-bin 2.02~beta2-8
grub2 2.02~beta2-8
grub2-common 2.02~beta2-8
$ dpkg --print-
ppc64el
$ cat /etc/cloud/
