Change Icon on custom launchers

Bug Description

When a custom launcher is added (via the new AWN Manager) it creates a .desktop file and is placed in ~/.config/awn/launchers/

The bug is when you right click on the custom launcher you get the Change Icon menu item, but it does not work.

If possible, the simplest solution would to be to just remove the Change Icon from the menu on custom launchers, as they get to choose there own icon when they create the launcher.

Hmm, maybe I am not understanding this properly, but when I right-click on a launcher and select 'change icon', I can change the icon, and ti saved to ~/.config/awn/custom-icons/.

Does this not work at all for you?

I'd like to re-open this as a feature request. It is not (easily) possible to change properties for launchers, and launchers dragged into place are linked to the original source instead of being copied to ~/.config/awn/custom-icons or ~/.config/awn/custom-icons.

Scenario 1 - Modifying properties:
1. AWN Manager >> Launchers >> Add
2. Create an elaborate launcher, with detailed comments, such as a WINE launcher
2. Do not SET AN ICON
3. Now attempt to change the icon
Reasons this is hard for a user:
- The management interface does not allow you to make changes to the launcher once it has been created
- The main window navigator only allows changing the icon, preventing any fixes to an elaborate launcher

Scenario 2 - Dragging in a shortcut:
1. Create a desktop icon, set up all of your properties.
2. Drag the icon to the AWN doc.
3. Delete the original
4. Refresh/Restart avant-window-navigator

Thanks!

I'd like for icons to be assigned automatically when a new launcher is created. I though that this was implemented before but I may be confused with something else. I am very happy with just using the theme icons for launchers and not having to worry about where the proper icon is located. thanks

This is resolved in our current rewrite branch. Though the implementation/mechanics have change significantly from 0.3.2.x
