When reviewing a report list of transactions or, for example, the main screen's list of scheduled/archive transactions, it would be wonderful to be able to click to open that transaction's detail and/or edit it directly at the appropriate level.
The current approach requires multiple actions to investigate and edit a transaction that catches your eye. You must take a note of the transaction pertinent details, then navigate to open the account register from the main window "Your accounts" list and then find the transaction in the register based on your noted details and double-click on it to view and edit the detail.
Instead I would like to be able to double-click on a transaction listed anywhere and have it open in the finest detail dialog for that transaction type which permits review and editing. So for a transaction in the "Scheduled transactions (next occurence)" list, open that transaction directly within the "Manage scheduled/template transactions" window. For a transaction listed in a report or similar "entered" transaction list, open that transaction in the "Modify transaction" window.
This wish is based on experience with my current HomeBank 4.5.5 installation on Linux Mint Debian Edition.
Note the solution to this is likely related to Bug 1099026, "Wish: Ability to individually play archive/automated transactions from the list".
