Bug Description

Inkscape stoped working and closed when I was doing resizes on images that I embeded. The program failed yesterday after all day doing the same operation and working properly. Today I uninstall the version 0.48.2 and install the version 0.48.4.

The operating system is Windows 7, and the languaje is spanish. Nevertheless, when I install Inkscape I choose spanish but the program installation appears in english. It has been so either in version 0.48.2 as in version 0.48.4. It is not a problem for me but it is weird.

The problems still remains.

Appears an error message saying:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library -- This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more infomation

Then another message:

Inscape encountered an internal error and will close now. Automatic backups of unsaved documents were done to following locations: C:\users\alejandro\new document...

Then, Windows try to solve the problem and fail. Then another message saying that Inkscape is going to be closed.

Please, tell me if you have any solution.

C++ runtime error are not accurate enough to track the issue (most crashes on Windows lead to a C++ runtime error...), thus I'm renaming the report "Crash when resizing embedded images".

summary: - Problems with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Closing because this cannot be reproduced and there has been no response for 30 days.

If you still have a similar issue, uninstall and make sure there are no leftover files, then install the latest version of Inkscape. If the issue still exists, please file a new bug at https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox. Thank you!
