Bug Description

Inkscape 0.48+devel r12217
OS: Tested on both Windows 7 Norwegian and XP sp3 English.

When a path is selected and the Stroke style --> Width spinbox is active, the Esc button doesn't make the Fill and Stroke dialog box to defocus.

Steps to reproduce:
* Select a path
* Open the Fill and Stroke dialog box and put the cursor in the Width spinbox.
* Hit the Esc button.
Cursor is still in the spinbox, so when I hit keyboard s (because I need to select the same path to move it), the width of the path goes to 0, because the spinbox read that s.

Expected behaviour:
When the Esc button is pressed, Fill and Stroke dialog box should lost defocus, and last used tool should be active and the selected object takes focus.

For reference: The spinbox for setting the blur of the active object does behave correct :)

Workaround:
Need to move the mouse pointer manually to the toolbox and click the arrow button to activate select/rotate tool.

Conclusion: Not a serious defect, but if Esc button had worked as expected, it would definetly have increased the efficiency of my workflow (since my finger always find keyboard buttons faster than mouse pointer finds the area of the button I look for).

Workaround without using the mouse:
Hit <Tab> to move the focus to the unit selector, then <escape> to defocus the dialog, then 'S' for the select tool.

Probably the same as

Not reproduced with stable, reproduced with current trunk (likely related to the new expression calculator - it seems that <esc> cancels the calculation (reverts to prior value) and keeps focus in the spinbox entry).

Not only Escape doesn't defocus, but it also prevents some dialogs from closing.
