I get some kind of issue when trying to use a proxy.

i want to fix this bug. Can you tell me how where to look. I'm guessing it is Server.vala or Client.vala but I'm not able to identify the code which actually connects to the net. e.g. an http request.

Doesn't this depend on Maki / Sushi IRC instead of Cable itself?

Maki connects to IRC, not Cable

So .. the maki / sushi calls from cable are not changed ?
I think the calls in cable would need a change to accept authentication from the user if the the proxy needs one.
