Did you check the hints at http://www.languagetool.org/issues/? especially: "On Ubuntu, install the libreoffice-java-common or openoffice.org-java-common package."

Praveen Arimbrathodiyil, this is collateral damage from this not being officially package in Ubuntu, and hence a duplicate of packaging request for languagetool report https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/114375 . As an alternative, does lightrpoof work for you https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightproof ?
