Bug Description

After a package upgrade and subsequent sleep, I found my system with the whole height full of "reboot required" messages. Upon clicking away one, the rest slowly crawled upwards with 100% cpu usage for X on one core. Twenty minutes and a couple of hundred messages later all were gone.

It seems ridiculous to spam the same message hundreds of times when there is one already visible.

There already is a safe guard inside KNH to prevent multiple notifications at the same time.

What kind of upgrade was it? Did the sleep really happen *after* apt-get was done or may it have been *while* apt-get was still working? What kind of apt-get GUI/version/etc did you use for the upgrade? Can you at all reproduce this issue?

This was obviously long ago, but I can say for certain that it was an aptitude update+upgrade that was performed. As the computer I used at the time is a high-end computer with extremely fast connection, I'm almost as certain that the sleep occurred *after* the apt-get operation. Can probably not be reproduced easily.

There's also the graphical issue to consider. The computer (including graphics) is high-end and it had a really hard time moving a couple of information boxes upwards after one was clicked away. The boxes moved a little bit faster and with lower cpu strain as I clicked more and more away. Still, this implies that the position was calculated and possibly rendered (if possible?) off screen, which seems highly in-effective.
