I raised bug #1509269 and apport has marked it as a duplicate of this one. Are there any steps I should take to help with diagnosis?
Originally I was commenting on bug #1494804 but it was suggested that what I was seeing was not the same bug. I ran the application under valgrind, with the results posted to bug #1494804 earlier in the week.
