Detect presence of input-gaming icon in current theme

The code checks for joysticks in /dev/input/jsX, can you check that this is the correct path on your setup ? It may be located in /dev/jsX which would be surprising because I haven't that in years.

It's just the icon missing. The gamepads are detected but it displays the default icon for missing images.

oh, what theme are you using, those icons are stock gnome icons, they shoud be available everywhere

Ah. Well I'm using the defaut Xfce theme, Greybird.
The icons used to be there. They may have been gone since I upgraded to 13.04... I know they've made changes to Greybird.
I'll investigate

The name of the stock icon is input-gaming.

After investigation, I think we'll have to use our own icon.
I have 8 icon themes bundled with Xubuntu and only two of them have an icon for input-gaming...

I have to study what's available in Gtk to inspect icon themes. It will probably land here : https://github.com/strycore/pygobject-demos before reaching Lutris
