Bug Description

When I select an artist, genre, or album in column view, the list of songs below does not change to reflect the selection.

IMHO, this should have a bit higher importance than medium. It renders column view completely useless, or at least incredibly cumbersome to use.

Does "Fix Released" mean it has been released to the daily PPA? Because it is not fixed for me, and another bug report was made today about this.

The fix is here but there are some problems with the packaging system, it'll be available asap

There have been at least three duplicates of this bug, so I am going to change its status as fix committed until the fix is out, so that when someone tries to file this bug again, it won't be hidden and will be shown as a duplicate.
