Bug Description
For the past week I have been getting lots of "504 Gateway Timeout Errors - the server has taken too long to respond." Is this problem on the KARL side or on the hosting side? Normally, the only place that ever threw this error consistently was on the Global Tags tab. Now I have been seeing several of these errors per day doing very normal operations - adding content, inviting users to communities, editing existing content, etc. Any idea what's going on?

I believe gocept commented back with an indication of some cron jobs that had gone wild and were affecting CPU. I believe that resolved the issue. Nat, if you see any recurrences, let's open this back.
