Bug Description
gThumb seems unable to open an .xcf image. It is however able to display it as a "thumbnail".
Steps to reproduce:
Execute gThumb, search for a directory with at least an .xcf file.
gThumb will display the thumbnail of the image.
Double click on the image -> no image is displayed.
This is also reported in questions #5446 and #5318.
