The plug cannot list my keyboard layouts. Doesn't print any errors to console either.

I can confirm this is fixed. However, after adding a layout via gnome-cc panel the Pantheon plug shows it as "Default" - in fact I have 3 "default" layouts now, which is quite confusing.

$ gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard
org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard layouts ['us', 'ru', 'ara']
org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard model ''
org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard options ['grp\tgrp:shift_caps_toggle']

"Default" means it is the default layout for a specific language. For example 'de' is the default german layout, and 'de\tdvorak' is "German - Dvorak". The actual default on your system is the first item in the list. I'll change it to make it less confusing.
