Bug Description
When I boot the Ubuntu 7.04 Live/Install CD and choose the Install option the install screen comes up larger than the size of the default 800x600 screen. The buttons (Cancel, Back, Next, etc) are not visible/clickable. My work-around to this was to enable auto-hide for both tool-bars and move the install screen to the very top of the screen. Even then I was unable to read what the buttons said but could at least click on the button that I guessed to be correct.
The install screen should be resizable. It would be nice if the default size fit nicely in an 800x600 resolution without any resizing needed. Perhaps scroll-bars would be needed, but this could really deter a new user from installing the system.
Thank you for your report!
This is a well-known bug, which unfortunately has not been fixed yet. A temporary (and uncomfortable, I know) workaround is ALT+DRAG...
Anyway, this bug is a duplicate of 38442 so I'll close it.
Keep reporting bugs! :)
