Bug Description
The Answers lens doesn't seem to start? Please try to run it manually to help debugging:
1) Make sure you are running Ubuntu Quantal or Raring and have logged out of your session at least once after installing the lens.
2) Open a terminal and run
$ /usr/lib/
If it results in "Failed to own name net.launchpad.
$ killall unity-lens-answers
and try again.
3) Once it's started (the terminal should display a blinking carret), open the Dash, and type or paste:
What is the square root of minus 1?
4) Close the Dash and check the terminal to see if any of these three lines is present:
"Search changed to "What is the square root of minus 1?""
"{'answers': [{the answer to your question...}]}"
A functionnal lens would have them all.
If you have only the first two lines, it can mean that:
A) you have a connexion issue (check your connexion)
B) the remote API is experiencing issues (try to open http://
If you have any other sort of output, please paste it in a comment below.
Thank you for your help!
